My name is Pengfei Yin (殷鹏飞). I completed my BSc at the Ocean University of China, where I was deeply attracted to how mechanisms underlying molecular biology are discovered. Since then, I have been systematically enhancing my ability to decipher biological mechanisms. In addition to experiments, numerous scientific studies demonstrate that Physics (Francis Crick) and computational analysis can also help us understand the biological phenomena. Thus, I have developed a background in molecular biology, complemented by training in mathematical modeling and core courses for Physics students (including the 3 volumes of the Feynman Lectures on Physics).
After graduation, I joined the Meizhen Zheng’s Lab in Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) to study 3D genomics. My thesis project is to use computational and theoretical method to explore dynamic 3D chromatin architecture of active and inactive regions and gene regulation of Drosophila under heat stress.
